Thermal By The Bay was an interesting eCommerce project we took on, building a new brand from scratch. They sell thermal paper for receipts and other disposable paper products to restaurants, including to go containers, paper cups and coffee cups, janitorial supplies, and more. We built out a store and shopping cart on the WooCommerce platform.
As a B2B supplier of restaurant supplies, Thermal By The Bay separates itself by combining ultra low pricing with fast next-day in person delivery. We worked with the client to match the site to their value proposition, and even worked to match up the messaging to a mailer they planned to send out to a few thousand local San Francisco and Peninsula restaurants.
We were even able to include a 5% coupon built into the shopping cart, which takes the percentage off the top without the need for the customer to enter a coupon code.
Given the subject matter, product photos were a bit of a challenge, and we did a decent job to edit and size photos in a clean and consistent way.
Given that price and speed are what the client offers to customers, we built a site that priorities speed and ease of use for new customers. Orders are starting to roll in, and given the disposable nature of their products, the next phase will be to encourage existing customers to re-order time and time again.
