Serving North Berkeley since the 1930s, Westbrae Nursery is a local gem, and we were lucky enough to handle their recent website redesign.
When they came to us, they were running two websites.
Their main site was over 10 years old, and suffered from the issues you would expect an old website to have, namely, it was not responsive or mobile friendly, had a very dated design, and didn’t have a CMS or an SSL certificate.
Their other site, a bare bones Shopify installation was serving as their online store, and outside of a single link to “Shop Now,” wasn’t taking full advantage of the possibilities of Shopify.
While they had their products ready to go, the design needed a little “something” before replacing their old site, which is where we came in.
In the end, we designed their Shopify site to replace their old site entirely, and handled all the necessary DNS changes. Moving forward, they are offering free delivery within 5 miles from their retail location for products like soil, mulch, fertilizers, and more.
We also helped them transfer their 400+ indoor plant catalog from their static site into their new Shopify site.
It was a fun project, and the site is ready to be marketed.
