We recently filmed a tutorial video for the Per Product Shipping Plugin for WordPress / WooCommerce, a great plugin that allows store owners to control their shipping costs on a per item & per product basis.
Compared to default flat rate pricing in WooCommerce, which is based around the order as a whole, per product shipping allows you to charge a flat rate on a per item/quantity basis, and change that price for every product in your store.
The plugin offers extreme flexibility and relative simplicity, as you can see in the video:
Purchasing plugins can sometimes be a guessing game, and you never know what you are going to get until you plop down the cash, install it, and start playing with the settings. I found the Per Product Shipping Plugin to be exactly what we needed for this particular WooCommerce store.
While it isn’t right for everyone, it is perfect for those that want to have control of shipping costs for every single item in their store. It will work especially well for those who use flat rate boxes / envelopes, or have pre-negotiated flat rate shipping costs with USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex.
