Chocolatiere is a Berkeley-based retail chocolatier located on University Ave. We have worked with them for years, going back to our early years as a Berkeley-based web designer, through various iterations of their brand, store and website.
As a retail based Chocolate store, in-person sales make up the bulk of the sales, but online sales add to the bottom line. We built out a basic eCommerce website using WordPress / WooCommerce, and manage the site, and regular menu updates.
Each quarter, Chocolaterie updates their menu, and we produce a flavor card flyer that accompanies each box of chocolates they ship out, and update the site accordingly. The company sends out an email blast to notify customers of the updates menu, and the sales follow.
Since their chocolates are often given as gifts, we added the capability for customers to add a gift note to their order, plus give them the option to upgrade to double their order. While the product offering is minimal, the site does what it needs to do in an efficient manner, and allows Chocolatiere to gain repeat business and sell chocolates nationwide.
